It is hot with thundershowers forecast π€π»
A very modern temple built and designed by a famous Thai artist. Solely funded by him until very recently.
If you're drunk, you cannot enter. We are good, no Thai whiskey for us today. We are clear of mind.
His art gallery is here, he works with the builders daily, and there he was.
Seems like a fun character.
The temple begins with a depiction of hell and ends in nirvana.
Poignant.
Everything is striking to the last detail.
The guardians are awesome.
No pictures allowed inside. The paintings inside are whimsical, yet tell a story. For example a painting of the twin towers with George Bush & Bin Laden sharing a flying scooter.
There were thousands of them.
Too cool, one last parting shot.
Hot springs stop. The farther upstream we went, the hotter it got. Good for loosening a tight Achilles.
On our own and time to get lost.
Getting lost found us perhaps the best meal of the trip. Khao soi noodles and green curry rice.
Total bill 115 Baht or $3.45 USD.
We almost settled at a restaurant called Bubbles Live. We've made great choices all trip long.
Massive downpour at the night market. Our first bout of adverse weather and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
More food. Dinner time.
Doner Kebab, Cacik and Khachapuri. ππ»ππ»
Too wet to walk back to the hotel. Tuk tuk time.

Sure lovin' all the food shots! Wow. And that temple/ art project/ whatever it is? Man, intense! Thanks again for taking the time to share!
